Toyota Motor Manufacturing of WV contacted Mountaineer Packaging to quickly develop a storage module for parts that were being built in advance of their required date. The company was anticipating that they would soon run short in their packaging inventory of "production" storage modules and they needed a solution to store parts that could be quickly developed.
Mountaineer Packaging worked with Toyota to understand the project requirements and used sample parts to develop a prototype storage module within a few days. Mountaineer demonstrated the prototype to Toyota, took direction on improvements/changes and worked with the client to arrange Just-In-Time delivery prior to the "build ahead" production shifts that had been scheduled. Mountaineer's delivery trucks continued to roll deliveries to Toyota until 2AM on the morning before the extra production was to begin. Brian Canterbury and Joshua Pearson, Mountaineer Packaging's executive management team worked with Toyota team members early into the morning to support the assembly of the containers at the production site.
